I think it is about time I explain to everyone why I love the Dogs of the Dow. Anyone that knows me has been told about this site for the last 4 or 5 years. Why? It’s very great tool for research for the everyday investor.  Dogs of the Dow (http://www.dogsofthedow.com/) contains 10 years of data. This data includes the yields, the price and if the stock belongs in which capitalization field. Small cap for some reason tends to out perform large cap. (That’s a different article) There is more then just dividend data for the stocks. It included total gains for the years from the stock. This is very useful in a recession to see how the stock has done in regards to both its own performance and relation to the market.  The best part about this site is that they perform updates fairly frequently,  to show the current Dogs of the Dow for this year. Allowing investors to see which stocks may be worth investigating further.  Check it out and maybe you can add a few dogs to your portfolio.
